Through a number of organizations including CIDA (Canadian and International Development Agency), UNDP (United Nations Development Program), IFC-GEM (International Finance Corporation—The Gender Entrepreneurship Market), Origenes – Program for Indigenous in Chile (Mapuches and Alymeras), SEDF (SouthAsia Enterprise Development Facility), Rawanda’s First Lady and Mayor of Kigali, through the Agaseke Promotion Project, among others, the Impact Team adapted and modified elements of the Uniquely program to assist micro and small women entrepreneurs in emerging markets to better leverage their untapped potential. The training focused in a practical sense on how to access the North American market, through in-depth market diagnostic, product development and practical advice, and whenever possible, connections to North American buyers.
The countries included: Afghanistan, Thailand, Laos, Indonesia, Brunei, Malaysia, Philippines, Cambodia, India, Uganda, Madagascar, Tanzania, Zanzibar, South Africa and Chile.
